Seasons open, conditions are tough. Dogs had trouble with coons the other night, but 3 to 4 inches of snow forecasted for Saturday. So things should get better. I will be trying sunday. How's everyone else doing? You mountain guys surely got some snow by now. Good luck to everyone and post some pics!

Ive got a few guns i like for cats, all 22 mags. The best for packin in mountains or rough terrain, is a single six with a 4x scope. It will reach up in a fairly tall tree. One word of caution about a 22 mag pistol, it is not a good choice for introducing young dogs to to gunfire! Stick with the 22 ...

If I could do it over, Id spend the 5 or 6 grand and buy one finished dog to train pups. If you can afford 2 more power to ya. Whatever you buy make sure you try them in YOUR area! Theres plenty of reputable guys selling dogs on here so good luck.
