Re: 45-70 ammunition selection for bear

Hornady Leverevolution 325 gr. is all you will ever need. About 3" high at 100 yards, to 4" low at 200 yards. I second reloading your own with the FTX bullets. Much, much cheaper to shoot.

Re: The Ultimate Bobcat Dog, PART ONE...

Alright Dan, if you want to attack me just for making a remark about the funniest thing in the internet hound hunting world I will give the short version of our interaction. You can call me a liar to try to save face, but you and I know the truth. I'm going to give the short version because I don't ...

North vs. South Fairy tale

In the north, fairy tales begin like this, "Once upon a time."

In the south fairy tales begin like this, "Hey, y'all ain't gonna believe this shit."

Re: car sickness?

Is there a medication or something for car sickness a guy could use for a dog. My wife and I bought a beagle puppy nearly six years ago, and she has never gotten over being car sick; exactly the way you described. She is more of a novelty/pain in the ass than anything else, so it isn't like she ...

Re: is a 308. to large?

As far as the .308 goes, just buy some 110 gran bullets. They will have a hell of a zip on them and shouldn't destroy the hide so bad. You might need to shoot your rifle and adjust the sites a tad.

If you were looking into a strictly coyote gun, I would go with the age-old proven guns. The .223 ...

Re: Americans Disarmed

Willie, I am one of the few that actually "pay attention" as you say, and I can assure I don't get the bulk of my information from Glen Beck, or any other single form of media. I am not too worried about my guns going anywhere. Fear is how the strong control weak minded. How else do you think ...

Re: Americans Disarmed

Now don't get me wrong the US policies are so bass ackwards that it would make Thomas Jefferson puke, but as far as Hurricane Katrina is goes, how many soldiers do you know that went down there to assist? I know quite a few that volunteered to go down and try to help their fellow Americans, and they ...

Re: question

Me personally, if I were letting a dog out on a trial, I would have to have some form of a deposit because there is no guarantee that you will ever see this dog again. Could get hit by a car, or just never hear from the person again.

The addition to the price, however, I translate to meaning, "I ...

Re: so canada eh?

I am with you guys, last night for the first time in my life I was truly ashamed of my country. It wasn't just because of the result, but how this result came to be. Both the Democratic and Republican parties were funding other candidates from the smaller parties to pull votes away from their ...

Re: How often do you guys catch a coon??

When you say "catch", are you talking about a ground catch, or actually seeing a coon up a tree? I would say normally we see coon every time we go hunting, and it is usually more than one. As far as the hounds catching one on the ground, I would say about one out of every four or five hunts. Note ...

Re: Hollow trees

Had the same problem last night, but it is something that we have learned to live with. You can't have coon without dens. I would imagine if there are plenty of hollowed out den trees in the area, you should always have a healthy coon population. One thing you might try to avoid these trees is ...

Obama and Biden walking the dog

It is Sunday morning and Joe Biden decides it is a fine day to take his puggle down to the park for a walk. When they get there, they see President Obama jogging. The President stops running and walks with the VP and his dog so they can discuss some "very pressing matters." They walk a little way ...
