I heard when they live trapped the Canadian Lynx to transplant down south of the boarder they used Chanel No 5, the expensive stuff, just one drop on the bait worked well.

Re: How cold is too cold?

In cold weather your breath condenses on exhale.
I always thought that hounds that follow these cats in super cold weather like they are on a string are running heads up on stinky condensesed Cat breath!

Re: Little Blue, gone but not forgotten

Yes, yes Mike a wonderful tribute to your old friend. Brings back many memories of hounds that I have had and hunted with that have gone to the other side.
Mike could you post a picture or two of Little Blue?
Best Regards

Re: Hunting Blown Down Timber

I had a big majestic that would circle the blow down area looking for the out going track while my hard running Bluetick and Walker would end up hopelessly confused in the blow down

Re: Mountain Hunting Clothing

Very good post fun stuff, I like the last part, you know your tuff, your tuff, just like your dogs.
I've taken some good hunting buddies (Elk, Deer, etc) out that were total pussies on a tuff lion hunt!

If your ever back in Alberta look me up, I will take you on a few hunts. I live west of Cochrane, nestled in the foot hills caressing the Roc...
