Bluetick/pointer

G'day
I have just bought a pup, bluetick (sire) x pointer GSP (dam). The pup looks very mutch like a bluetick still, his nose is allways on the ground witch is something that im not ust to.
As i run Bullarabs witch are a hot scenting dog. This is the first hound i have ownd.
Is any one able to tell ...

I'm looking to talk to some one that nows there plotts. I am looking at blueticks also, althow it sounds like plotts are harder. Im am after a coldish nose. there are diferant lines ovesally. I have a couple of questions, what is a cur and bluetick gyp. Is a plott considerd cold. I do not want a dog that is loud on the trak but i thought you could not have one with out the ather.

Great response, I'v done my home work on imports. Yes it is costly and time consuming. I am looking for long term fix. I do hunt at night for two reasons, it's cool and they feed at night. I do have plenty of hart in my dogs and wind scenting ability its the cold scenting im after eg, big old ...
