Re: Pull Behind ATV trailer for hounds

I have made one and it looks a lot like yours but it was made of 3/4" plywood. I used an old 4 wheeler axle. it works well but after using it for a year i found it to be top heavy. On flat ground its great but on side hills it wants to tip over. If I could go back and start again I would put the ...

Re: Baiting for Coons

I see no problem in that, we use to hunt on several ranches that had dumps and they were always great hot spots for coon even cow carcases seemed to draw them in. So I guess in a way it's the same. Let us know how it works for you.

Re: My new ATV Trailer / Truck box.

Ya it pulls nice. I have a 400 artic cat and it will redline my speedo no problem. With the box off the trailer I can load both the trailer and box myself, but like I said the box is awkward and help is better.

My new ATV Trailer / Truck box.

I just wanted to share my new dog box with you. First off I got an old blown up Kawasaki 220 ATV. I then chopped it in half and put a tongue and 2" ball on it. I then welded a couple of brackets to it so I could mount an aluminum base. The aluminum base is where i mount my box to. I also wired in a ...

Re: ever happened to anyone

I've had kind of a similar thing happen. My friend and I turned the dogs loose and soon they were treeing then they broke off we went in the direction they first were and found a dead coon they caught and killed. Soon they were treeing again, same thing they left and there was another dead coon on ...

Re: Please help the new guy.

Thanks for the info. Here another dumb question for you pegleg. If I don't use a tree will my dog stop and tree on open ground where ever I end my track. I mean do they need anything visual or will he just tree at the end of my track? Thanks

Please help the new guy.

Hey guys I got a question about using bobcat lure. Well I got a young dog around 9 months old and is doing well on coons and I want to start him on bobcats. So I bought some of that Grawes bobcat scent. The only problem is that it looks chunky in the bottle. So what is the best way to apply this ...

Re: Another deer breaking topic

I'm by no means an expert, and have only had 6 hounds in my life but this is what I have had luck with. By the way I have just got back into hounds and have only hunted coon in the past. My new pup I'm training for cats. First off I will let my pups run coon drags. Then move on to releasing a caged ...

Does any one know any plott hunters with pups or started dogs near Sheridan Wyoming? I got out of hunting hounds a few years ago and would like to get back in the mix. Thanks
