Im having the same problem. Last year bought one and out performed everything so I upgraded
all my collars to 50s and now I lose them all the time its been really frustrating

I bought my first hounds from him. My female was out of cowboy up ,She was fast gritty and a great tree dog a nice all around little female the male i got didnt make the training season. The bear killed him .

I think a little bit of both works best. Teach the dog how to use his nose by himself first then show him right from wrong and then let the hound start his own game now and then with the rest of the pack. Not all probably will make great lead dogs but I believe given the chance and the repetition ...

Yes. I bought a pick of the litter started pup around 6 years ago and she has been awesome. I crossed her with a buddys great hound, out of old new england blood and kept two . They both can run and tree there own bear and The female is turning into a great bobcat dog .They are like there mother but ...

I got one about 6 years ago been doing awesome.She has never missed a tree and has it all.
Bred her to a buddys great dog and the pups I kept are excellent.

You don't loan your wife out. Right! I personally would not .No one knows your hounds better than yourself so trusting another person with your hounds just doesn't sound like a good idea. But that's just me.
