My father in law has 6 I had 2 one just died so I'm waiting for some pups. Got quite a few guys we hunt with that have 2 to about 5, and all run everything with them, seems to work for us.

We run coon,coyote, cat, bear, and fox with the same hounds. Usually when cook hunting it is to dry for our hounds to take a coyote, but has happened, in the snow they pretty much stay with what we started them on, unless they happened to jump something else while cold tracking. It's A very crappy deal. We have had hounds killed here in west central MN also it seems they are everywhere you go. We try to run with the dogs as close as we can when cat hunting or get as many people in the woods as possible. Everyone must always have a weapon just in case. The last few years ...
