I am in the Statesville area and I have been wanting to try running coyotes with dogs as well. Rex Bowers in Mocksville crossed some July hounds and Leopard Curs and use to run them on coyotes years ago.

Rex Bowers who bred the Dutchman Creek Leopards, made a couple crosses between Leopards and Julys. All the pups went to cat hunter, mostly up north but one or two went to Florida. I hear they did really well.

I think I ran into you on the UKC forum. Stay in touch, I would love to hunt some time.

My only experience was running hounds in a pen. It wasn't a field trial but they were in a pen. To be honest I would be interested in either. I just love hearing a good pack of hounds run.
