Re: Bobcat Jump Style
I sure wish I could chime in with some words of wisdom but I very rearly made it past the jump. The two times I did catch it was cause the cats didn't run stright and went to those tight circles. But there was at least 20 or 30 jumps that the tight circlying cats got away. So who knows what works ...

Re: Rigging
I kinda started that way as well. Using caged critters just of the road. I might walk one acrossed the road using a snare pole or roller cage. Some times I would try putting tracking collars on so I could figure out if they were catching the same animal they were rigging. Cause let's be honest, I ...

Rigging
So maybe there's a tread on here about rigging but I was wondering about all the different ways to teach a dog how to rig. I dabbled with it a little bit a while back but then realized its kind of point less where I live. So I went back to a silent box.
Thanks fellas.
Thanks fellas.

Pretty cool picture
My pals will send me pictures from time to time of bobcats they spot and snap a pic of or pictures they come acrossed. Simply because they know I'm obsessed with umm and enjoy seeing stuff like that. This picture (if everything I've been told is true) was taken about 30 miles east of my house by a ...

Re: What's to cold?
I worry a lot more about to hot then to cold. Seams like the dogs I run can't get enough of the cold. -15 degrees isn't in common. But anything above 80 and they start acting funny. They peter out faster and there heart isn't in it. But as far as the cold I would say your good at those temps. I have ...

Re: what kind of track is this?
Just a stab in the dark and it's kinda hard to tell but it looks as though it's two lion tracks. Well same lion but his front and back foot, one on top of the other. I don't see a lot of lion but I do see a lot of bobcat track and around here they walk inside there own tracks a lot. Especially in ...

Getting back in the game
Hey fellas, here in about a year I'll be getting back into bobcat dogs. I was wondering if anyone had any up coming litters around that time. I'm also not against buying a started dog as well. I'll be living in the northern Nebraska area around that time and running straight bobcat. I have no ...

Re: Bobcats and coons
I often wonder about showing my pups coyotes. Giving the numbers around here a guy could learn a lot about his up and coming talent in a real short amount of time. But I feel as though there's something to be said about the correlation between what a dogs started on and what they prefer to run ...

Re: Bobcats and coons
Yeah I caught 3 over the course of about year bluedawg. I treed cub on accident one night in June. Which is what got me started into all this flooishness. Then treed another in September and caught one on the ground in March. So far I haven't caught any during kill season yet but I've killed a lot ...

Re: Bobcats and coons
This has always been a big problem where I run my dogs. I live in the preverbal land of bobcat milk and honey. Year long season, great numbers, and not another bobcat hound with in 200 miles. The only problem is coons out number cats here 20 to 1 (don't quote me on those numbers I'm just guessing ...

Anybody hunting bobcat in central / western Kansas or Nebraska
Hey fellas, I was wondering if there was anybody out there that hound hunts bobcat in central to western Kansas and Nebraska. I'm kinda new to the area and the sport and would love to learn some stuff from any locals that are willing to teach.
Thanks Tanner.
