Re: Kidney failure
Ivomec will kill their kidneys quick. And it will happen about 5 years old. 2/10 of cc is what we use down here every summer month. Every other month in winter. We have mosquito bad and we use it for heart wormer. It doesn’t take much. I have had some vets say high protein food doesn’t help either. ...

Re: Bobcat/coyote
Norman Davidson here in south Texas used to run both coyotes and bobcats with the same dogs. He caught a lot of both. A lot would probably depend on what kind of dogs you have but as Norman used to say. There’s good ones and bad ones in all breeds. Only bad thing was the other cat hunters couldn’t h...

Re: Texas Cat Hunters Reunion
I hunted with Bill a couple times but we were pretty good friends. That was back when I first started hunting. I think I even talked to you on the phone once. I remember him talking about a Derek a lot. Didn’t you end up with some of his dogs when he finally quit hunting? I wonder if Dwayne Vinson s...

Re: Chain training (continued)
Some dogs are going to die either way. And putting dogs on a chain to help them survive this isn’t going to save every dog. But it will save some. Even if it just saves one. Old timer taught me that and I always listened. I credit it with saving one of my good dogs one time. Was roading them along a...

Re: Southeast verses north west
It depends. Down here the terrain can change so much from one ranch to the next. I would say about half and half. Some places I hunt aren’t too thick and most cats tree in ten to fifteen minutes. On another ranch it’ll be thick black brush or big thick white brush thickets and the cats will run 45 m...

Harold did NOT have anything to do with all the nonsense read here though, just to be clear.

Re: Thx
Yeah that was disappointing. Things got out of hand. To be honest Harold may be the one that said something I didn’t agree with, but it wasn’t him that blew this way out of proportion. The man spoke for two hours and I made a smart ass comment about two sentences he made. And now because of it 99.9 ...

Re: Southeast verses north west
My opinion is if you take a dog hunting in different terrain he won’t do as good as you would like on the first trip. Dogs need to be acclimated to the area you are hunting. There’s easy cats and hard cats and anyone can get lucky. But if you hunt them in that terrain consistently they will start to...

Re: Thx
I have tried to be nice and polite the best I can. The reality of it is this.... You posted a video of a guy talking about how south Texas dogs can’t hack it but Mississippi dogs can. How his dogs can catch bobcats down here but these dogs can’t catch bobcats up there. I left a comment saying he is ...
