Re: Breaking bear dogs off coon
I would put a coon or two in a kennel right next to this dog. Only welded wire between them. Gotta make dang sure the dog can't get to them. Let the dog live like that for however long it takes. I would start off with a high quality bark collar on the dog so every bark gets the dog shocked. I would ...

Re: Marking garmin collars
I use small cattle ear tags. They are cheap and the tool makes them easy to apply. Then you can write the dogs name on it also. Just punch through an existing hole

Re: Your experience with broken bones
I have a dog that got bit by a wounded lion and pretty much broke his lower leg in half. Compound fracture. I put the pieces back together the best I could and 70 staples to put the hide back on. A good splint and alot of duck tape. It took this two year old dog a year and a half before he stopped ...

Re: New Garmin Tracking/Shocking System
The compass does not work on my alpha and the range is not even close to what the 220 and a dc30 can do. Also the tree switch seems to be way to sensitive. Drives me nuts cold trailing a lion as the treed pops up every couple minutes. Have used it a week and am not impressed at all. Hopefully there ...

Re: Alpha compass hosed
I agree. The alpha is junk. The compass doesn't work and range way shorter than on the older system. Should have stuck with the dc30's.

Re: Plastic Barrel Dog Houses?
If you have small dogs stand the barrel upright and burry it half way in the ground. Super insulated!

Re: bed bugs and selling trained hounds
Raising the prices sure sounds good to me. It amazes me how much a winning competition coon dog goes for and then people complain and raise hell when someone puts a lion dog up on here for 4 or five grand. Its silly. I would bet large amounts of money that I have more time and gas money tied up in ...

Re: Illegal outfitting
Never had any problems and I hunt the front range a lot. The only time we hear anything is usually from the outfitters that can't seem to book enough clients of thier own, so they blame it on illegal outfitting.
I totally agree with FullCryHounds. I hear of other outfitters complaining about this ...
