UTV dust issues?
For all you that are hunting off of side by sides: does the dust swirling around the back of the machine cause a problem for your dogs?

Re: Cold nosed plotts?
There was mention of many of the cold nosed lines of the past, but if you were looking to find one today, who is still breeding true to any of the old lines mentioned?

Re: Cold nosed plotts?
For a span of over 30 years on lion studies in southern Idaho the dog of choice was Bluff Creek bred Plotts.
This would include both winter and summer captures.

Powell Point Scout
Looking for anyone who has or knows of males out of Carl Shakespeare's
Powell Point Scout
Scout was out of my Bluff Creek Toto dog and I'm looking for a Toto grandson.
Great grand sons' as well.
Scout sired several litters in Southern Utah in his day and he was a producer of good dogs.
thanks/

Alpha Touch Sceen
Touch screen is nice, until you put it in your pocket. You never know where you will be when you pull it out. "Are you sure you want to delete your existence?" Anyway I somehow lost the distance to the dog function. The dog icon works, the dogs name still works, but it stopped telling me h...

Re: young dog being aggressive
Same situation. Cutting worked for my dog, now he is usable even if my females are in heat. I hated to do it but it was either cut him and hope it worked, or never be able to hunt him with other males. It has made him a better dog all the way around. In addition, you will save your relationship with...

Re: Alpha memory maxed out
Thanks for your help, that was what I needed. I've downloaded maps for all the areas I think I will need. It is an interesting tool. I was able to use it in a hunting situation for several days this week. If you already are familiar with the country it is handy, but at the same time I missed my stat...

Re: Idaho Bear Hunters Need your Help!!!!!!!
Those talking points are excellent and I might add a couple more: 1. I spoke just now with Tad Sherman, President of the Idaho State Bowhunters and asked him if thier organization was pushing for this. He assured me "absolutely not"!!! The ISB is the largest bow hunting group in the state ...

Re: Idaho Bear Hunters Need your Help!!!!!!!
I appreciate your attention to this matter. It also effects hunters in 66a and 76, as they have proposed 2 weeks of dogs prohibited to reduce conflicts with Archery hunters as well. This seems to be a new trend for the dept. I have submitted comments both online to the F&G and to Commissioners F...

Re: Need a tracking collar.
I always found that telemetry collars with changeable batteries were a plus, because you can replace batteries as often as you like without sending them in. Those sealed units are great when new, but after any length of time you never know how much they have left. Changeable also tend to be lighter ...
