Sometimes the GPS will lose contact with a coller , then not regain contact even when the dog gets back to me. Its happened to differant collers. I had one 30 years ago. He was a real gritty dog on bear and a good tree dog. He didn"t trail very good on a cold track. Good natured , not aggresive but would not back up. Not much bark but a LOT of bite

Most of this country has streams of running water, however I do carry a couple gallons of water in the truck just in case we have a hard run in a dry spot.

Many times. And now that I have a garmin I see that most of the time one or two dogs are doing the catching and treeing before the rest get there.
