Re: Dogs killed by bear?
Two wrongs does not make a right. If a stray dog shows up (and has collars on) you should have tied that dog up way out of the way instead of letting a fight occur. Your BnT is no better than that plott. And I would have worked him over just the same. Sooner or later one of your other males might ...

Re: Really bad day and alot of unanswered questions!
jkcasey i was not talking about my dogs. Im just talking about a select few who seem to think its funny when one of their dog dies. Don't want to make a big deal just wanted to point it out.

Re: Hunting with Wolves?
I have hunted before with wolves in Arizona with the Mexican gray wolves, but the ones here are much different than the ones up north. Ones here are more shy and smaller at around 50-80lbs and will only kill a dog if they come near pups. Even than a big hound dog has a fightin chance to get away ...

Re: Really bad day and alot of unanswered questions!
I didn't read the whole thread because it was long but i'll chime in on what i think. It absolutely doesn't sound like bear unless that was some weird effed up bear with rabies or something. Wolf defintely no, unless you live on the border near Arizona. Cuz ik here in Eastern Arizona in the White ...

Re: What size and build do you most prefer for you big game dogs
I like a dog that looks like my granddaddys dog. I agree! I like a big dog above 60lbs that has long ears, bawls like its drunk, has long legs but not too long so it can get under obstacles. I also like a thick neck incase the animal turns back and wants revenge

Never mind azgogetem. I went looking through my pictures and found out where that spot was. I went there last year. Caught a 320lb bear there for a hunter.

Re: Humane Society Wants to End Hound Hunting!
That is a totally legit lawsuit. Got me thinking about what really does happen. Even though I dont do anything they listed I know others do. About the article though some of it definitely looks a little off but the only think that annoys me about it is I have seen people killing bear cubs with their ...

Re: Woke up to a skiff of snow
I had a nasty horrible morning today. Woke up to 14f with 4 inches of snow and a few more inches of snow to come with a biting wind also.

Re: retired dogs
With myself I always loved my dogs and think it is sick to use a dog for 8-10 years and just sell it. When my dogs are too old to hunt they will be living in style with a dog door with the freedom to run out and hunt when ever they want on my property. I think it is bs to just give it away after 10 ...

The first couple of pages have some great looking dogs. They all look like the true black and tan. Makes me think of the my old black and tan.
