Man, it is a darn shame Hawthorne, two years ago my truck would have had the petal to the metal to hunt with you. We have hunted Ontario 4 times and loved every trip. I have also tried that, the hounds seem to trail harder when I have done that compared to just a drag. What other differences it makes I just don't know.

I cut my best dog 4 months ago because he threw to many culls, and he was 6. It hasn't hurt his hunting one bit. You have nothing to lose, you can only gain.

For me the best drag is a chunk of hide from the animal I am training on. That way a little natural scent gets mixed in with the training scent.
