although at some more high end vet facilities, that do this kind of stuff often, then will actually have what they call a "teaser bitch" present which gets the dog goin ...

The vet obtains the sample manually, just like your girlfriend would get it from you! hahaha, then they put a sample on a slide and look at it under a microscope to make sure it is of use and there are swimmers!

Then its stored in nitrogen chambers either at the vets office, or they will send it to ...

I asked that same question! My vet says its hard to tell, she said shes seen dogs as old as 12 still have heat cycles....
