Re: locked gates
You know if you are that sure they are public roads then a group of hunters get together(to defer the cost) and take them to court. Make a big deal out of it and win the case. Once you have set a precedent then the courts can refer to that and force the next gate to be opened.

Re: Mouth on a hound
I agree with you as I love to hear my dogs run and while catching game is the ultimate goal there more than a few nights where there was no tree at the end of the track. But I truly loved listening to my dogs especially a little walker female that had a tenor bawl mouth. She opened when she should ...

I know that all the gentlemen had registered dogs and they were very likely Smokey River but I am not sure that is why I was asking if anyone knew what pedigree these gentlemen were running...
But thanks for asking...

Looking 4 Information
Hey Guys,
I have been trying to get some history on blueticks in general and at the moment I am interested in dogs that came out of these lines if possible Yankman, Garver and J. Sharp. I have looked at numerous places and have run into dead ends. Now I am new to blueticks and there is no place I ...

Re: Competition Hounds
You know dhostetler maybe I am not reading your post correctly but the few field trials out this way I entered a dog in a treeing contest there was really no way to hype up a dog when treeing. If I am wrong I am sorry but by the rules out here the dogs could be spoken to by the handler one time at ...

Re: Competition Hounds
You know Dhostetler your dogs or any dogs that are hunted know the difference between a real track and a 4 to 6 inch wide swipe of some kind of stink rubbed along the ground. I like going to the field trials they are a lot of fun and I get to see and talk with old friends but like you only once or ...

You know guys you hear so many good and not so good things about the camerons that it's really makes you want to step back. I mean if you get a good one then great but there are so many out their who got a dog or dogs from Del and now are producing what they call Cameron dogs. And I ...

Competition Hounds
Hey
Now I have thought about this for a long time and did not ever submit the post because I figure the whole world is going to come unglued once this is posted. But since the site has not had a big time battle in a few weeks I think I will put this out there for positive as well as negative ...

Re: Blueticks for Bobcats
You know JTG I have hunted for sometime but the thought of a coon hound being breed to be an individual rather than I team or pack member never ever occurred to me. I would think that , that kind of trait came from competition hunting rather than from the pleasure or hide hunters. You know depending ...

Blueticks for Bobcats
Gentlemen,
I do not wish to start a war between any of you but I am wondering who has the best line of bluetick dry ground bobcat dogs today. I would be looking for a line of dogs that can run with their heads up and drift a track, locate and tree in big timber and has the speed to stay up with ...
