Re: Advice on a new bloodhound pup

Thanks that would be great. I live in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I also have a Cabin near Birchwood Wisconsin, about 45 minutes south of the Hayward area in Rusk county. If I hunt bear it will be up there.

Re: anyone know of any good b&t in or around WI

Where in WI are you. I have a friend that knows a guy who runs black and tans near Waukon IA right near WI border. I have no idea how good they are although I am hoping to take my pup up there in the spring and go out with him and his dogs.

Any one in eastern Iowa

I got a real young bloodhound pup, next summer hoping to have him run on coons. Is there any one around here that might let us tag along for a time or two and let him learn a little from your dogs. This is my first hound

Re: who started from scratch?

I am starting from scratch right now. I actually have an 8 week old bloodhound pup sleeping in my lap as I type this. Re: new to hound hunting

If i get a started dog can I start hunting with just one or do you need multiple dogs to tree a bear. Im assuming that I would have to find someone to run with untill I added at least a second dog.
