Re: Trump
Nope. Not a Calvinist. One doesn't have to have reformed theology in order to believe in the sovereignty of God.

Re: Trump
Maybe the fear of Trump stems from a lack of faith in God ? Remember the former things, those of long ago;I am God, and there is no other;I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will ...

Re: Trump
The bottom line is the system is rigged and it has been a long time. It has been corrupted to the core and silver tongued politicians like Hillary and Ted are the kind that thrive in that corrupt environment. They are masters at playing the deception game. They are not the solution to our problems, ...

Re: Trump
We cannot continue down this road of debt and over regulation and OPEN BORDERS or the United States will CEASE TO EXIST. Boy that ain't no lie ! Just take a look at Heidi Cruz work on the North American Union when she was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. It is my understanding that she...

Re: Trump
A vote for anyone other than Trump is a vote to maintain the status quo.The two party system we have in this country is nothing but smoke and mirrors. It's camouflage for the elite that run this country behind the scenes because they own both parties. They don't care whether you vote for Hillary or ...

Re: Pistol question?
The gentleman that started the thread was not asking what is the best gun for the purpose of shooting bayed bears. I think most everyone would agree that if you PLAN on killing a bear on the ground in front of your dogs the best choice is a long gun.NO WAY would I allow anyone to use a pistol to sho...

Re: Pistol question?
Most of those stories you hear about a bear being loaded full of lead are because of inexperienced houndsman. Guys who have been around for awhile and have been up close and personal with game on many, many occasions have no problem putting the smack down on a bear with either the .357 or the .44 ma...

Re: Andy Jenson dog's here it is
Seems like this situation has resolved itself and that is great ! Any man who lays down $4000 on a dog sure wants to be satisfied with his purchase. From what it sounds like the dog needed some time to adjust to its new environment. I can't help but think that this failure to adjust more rapidly is ...

Re: Obedence
Trueblue, I agree 100% with you. One thing I don't do is the house thing except young pups and on extra ordinary occasions. Don't get me wrong. I don't keep my whole pack in the house but they all get house trained and get house time. Sure is nice to have dogs that know how to behave indoors. Like ...

Re: Obedence
Absolutely no doubt in my mind that dogs can be ruined by overhandling at the wrong times. Seen it too many times to believe otherwise. I have seen others ruin good dogs this way and I have ruined some myself. Had to learn the hard way. Some dogs are easy to ruin, the smart ones, and others are hard...

Re: Jumping out bobcats
No need to become overwrought. I'm sure Dewey is a great guy with many fine qualities that could be characterized as honorable. I don't believe anyone, including myself has ever questioned his honor. The only thing that I suggested was that his social skills could use a little refining. There is no ...

Re: Jumping out bobcats
One thing I have learned over the years David, is if you want to see what someone is made of, just watch and see what comes out when they are offended. And you never fail to come out swinging.

Re: Jumping out bobcats
I think you got a little too excited there David. You pointed out a single, solitary character quirk and I briefly elaborated on it suggesting it might be a flaw not a quirk. My brief comments hardly qualify as a character assassination.

Re: Jumping out bobcats
I hope you can spend some time with him. . Well, I will probably never get that opportunity. The only perception of Dewey that I will ever have will be based on the way he conducts himself on this kind of social media. I guess there is a lesson or two in that as well. And, I agree with you. I would...

Re: Jumping out bobcats
Like it or not, we as houndsmen have our own form of political correctness in the way we speak and do. Dewey sometimes does not follow our rules for political correctness, and some folks don't like him for that reason. That was a polite way to say it David. Very politically correct of you. :) I wou...
