Killed one the other day that had 14. They must be out looking for dens, Ive killed 3 in the last 2 days.

I wonder if he got close to a den. I have a coyote decoy dog and if you get close to the den the coyotes will do the same thing. Just a thought.

Another good tender is dryer lint in a ziplock bag. It burns good and it is light. I spent the night out in a blizzard when I was 12, no matches, no winter clothes, no survival gear, no fun. I found a 5x6 bull elk pulled into a culvert on the county road this year. It was two weeks before the season started. All but the rack was in the culvert. He drug it most of 200yds. In 3 months I havent seen a cat cross there since.
