coons treed
Guess I am going soft. I sit here in my house watching a pair of coons hang out in the tree outside the window. I don't even have the desire to shoot them.. Don't get me wrong thought about pissing off the neighborhood and getting the pup out to play. Having more fun watching them snuggle and play ...

Coyotes AARRRGGHH
Went out this morning. Got one going right off the bat. That darn coon ran a big loop like a mile long. Circle back up where it came from and never treed. I think it wore the dogs out and they just gave up. The only good thing is that the pup hung in there the whole way. :beer On a side not I saw ...

The more the merrier. Nothing quite as frustrating as wanting to shock your retards and not being close enough.

Re: Coyote pen?
Need a coyota pen? I think I got one, but its backwards. The coyotes come to the dog kennel. Happens all the time. I live "in town" so I cant just shoot them. Dogs where going nuts last night about supper time thought it was just cause the new it was time to eat. Go out and find coyote yappin at ...

Re: Lets see and here about your Grade dogs
Well I always say when people ask if my dogs have papers. NO none of them can read anyway. I have a B and T, walker, who knows what. And a pup from her that is a bluetick mostly walker cross with my B and T, walker, who knows what. Although they both look like B and T. Every one of the 12 pups in ...

I carry pretty much the same standard gear. Since I started letting the dogs carry the beer I have not lost them once.

Re: How to make a dog stay treed
Gotta go with pegleg on this one. When they start treeing at when the are young give them lots of praise. I used to just get to the tree get them excited and then walk back a ways and sit down and wait. If the pups came to me or stopped treein' I would just walk them back over or tell them to get on ...

Re: Best .22lr round?
CCI mini mag solids. No hollow point. Gun don't like em. besides how much can a 22 caliber bullet expand and still have anything left. They feed good and I have shot thousands of them and do not think i have had any duds. They all work the same and they always work. That is what I like to see.

Re: What is your favorite?
I would like to say I enjoy cat hunting. But I live in WA so I can't say I do. If I had to say I what I liked the best it would probably be cat hunting. Listening to the dogs work for as long as they can is awesome. Even if I have to grab them up and go home without a tree. I like to listen to my ...

Re: Garmin DC40 Review and new Garmin Loaner Program.
I like the idea. There is nothing worse then waiting for equipment to come back in the middle of hunting season. I don't know how Garmin is to deal with on repairs, but even a couple of weeks, which would be amazingly fast, would suck when you want to be hunting. I can't afford backup stuff for ...

Ya that is what I was thinking to. I am going to have a week off from work so I think will camp out up around swift somewhere and just sort of hunt around the lake and stuff. Not real high.
thanks I'll call ya later.

curr pups in washington
Anybody have curs in or aroung SW WA. I have never been around them. Sounds like a dog I would like. Would like to go hunt with some sometime and see/hear them in action. I am doing some research on them now and they seem pretty cool. I will not try to fool ya, I have always had grade dogs. I don't ...
