Re: casturation bands

Cut many of males with a band. Don't see the sense in paying a vet 100 bucks. I put two bands on for insurance purpose. A couple hours into it they will have some discomfort and may start spinning and chewing but that will pass. If you want you can put a cone on them to prevent the chewing. Any ...

Re: Dog runs?

Thanks for the info guys. Was thinking that I would use the blocks to keeps the urine from eating away the panels and then paint the blocks or use some sort of sealant so that they didn't get saturated with urine. Now I am thinking that just a concrete slab will be easier and less money in the long ...

Dog runs?

Building a new kennel and was thinking about using cinder blocks on the dog runs. The runs are 14 feet long and 5 feet wide, I would stack the cinder blocks 3 high on the walls and then put the dog panels on top of the blocks. So the finale height of the dog run walls would be about 6 feet tall ...

Re: Wolves digging up traps.

You don't want a hair trigger on your wolf traps. They are very time consuming to maintain and you don't want any traps plugged up with off game (fox, bobcats, coyotes). Higher pan tension also equals deeper foot catches and you defiantly want this on a big powerful wolf.

Lapierre, if your using ...

Re: Wolves digging up traps.

Doesn't matter if it is fox, coyotes or wolves. Your traps are contaminated with a foreign smell. Or they are not bedded properly if you push on any corner of the trap it should not move at all.

Dog box of new style Tacoma!

I have a buddy that is looking for a aluminum dog box that will fit between the wheel well of the newer body style Tacoma. Must be a two compartment with top storage. Length is not quite as important because I think the bed is 5 foot long. But he is having trouble finding one that fits between the ...

Re: need sum advice

You have done the best thing you can for two young pups let them run and explore. But like was mentioned earlier you are going to have to put them on lock down now or risk the chance of losing them. Unless you have a very close eye on them.
