Re: To Much Drive
Well said scrub runner. The number 1 thing i look for in my puppies at a young age is the desire to catch what is front of them regardless of what is going on around them. I can think of instances where to much desire or heart can get dogs and people for that matter in trouble but ill take those ind...

Re: Running dogs
If game is consistently out running you then i think that adding some running dog may be an option you would consider. That being said there are alot of trade offs mostly in my observation in the cold trailing category. I personally know of more than a couple gentlemen here locally with alot of mone...

Re: Turning a Track Around
In my experience a dog is more likely to take a back track in a heavy fog than any other condition. That being said a dog that takes a back track in the mountains, more than seldom, is more of a liability than an asset and doesn't stay here long. Roads are far, ground is steep and if you are rigging...

Re: Breeding emphasis
The standard that we strive for is that we only breed dogs that have the ability and desire to consistently catch and hold game on their own. We perfer these dogs to themselves be born to top notch parents and come from strong litters. We stick pretty tight to this when breeding for our selves, we d...

Raising pups
So the world's current situation is allowing me a new experience of getting to raise and work a young litter of puppies more intensely than i have ever gotten to before and it has led me to a couple of questions for those who get to do it on a more regular basis. Pups are now 9 weeks old. Background...

Breeding 2 males to 1 female
Anyone with much experience with this? Will most of the pups be out of the first male? Looking at this option for one of our good females, breeding one old proven dog and one young unproven male with lots of potential.

Re: What options to include on custom truck box
Anything from a chain to high end would work, what you have in the box is the most important. That being said i have been working on my perfect box design for months for a flat bed yota. 60 by 72. Make a list of the things you want to accomplish with your box and design around it. I hunt in Zero to ...

Re: best strain of walkers for bear
Thanks very much for the reply but I had the chance to buy one of the best young Walker females that I know of and she is now part of my kennel hopefully it works out to get some pups out of her. What are the major differences between the sw nance dogs and what people are running in Michigan as far ...

Re: Boots
Additional thoughts, I would consider buying from Cabela's if they carry what your looking for or something close. I have had some friends buy from them and they were able to return boots that they t thought did not live up to standards with no questions asked. There customer service is usually exce...
