Crazy Cross
I have recently been reading about some crossbred dogs on other forums. I have read about some just plain unique crosses. Not to long ago I came home to this little white fluffy pup. (My GD seen it and couldn't say no.) Any ways I have really been watching this dog. She is smart as a whip. Picks up ...

Re: Have a question?
Right now I am just researching. But plan to be in Florida in 6 months to a year. Would like some hog dogs. I know I want a hound not a cur. From what I have seen and hunted with. I would like something fast loud gritty enough to make a jog stop but back up and bay.Something that isn't ill in a box ...

Have a question?
I have coin hunted and done some hog hunting. But I have only ever hunted once or twice with redbones and plotts. Never with black and tans. Just wondered if someone could tell me the differences between these three breeds. I mean other than the obvious color differences. I really like redbones ...

multi talented pack
I have two pups right now. A greyhound and a pitbull/bullterrier mix. I am getting a bluetick/treeing walker on Friday. When they are old enough do you think it would be possible to incorporate the different styles in to a multipurpose hunting pack. I live in ND so no pig hunting.

half bullterrier half pitbull
We just got one. Was wondering if they can be trained to scent trail. I also have greyhound. From yote dogs coming. What I would like to do is run them together. The cross to trail and find and the greyhound to run down yotes. I ask on here cause I am in ND right now but plan on moving within the ...

I recently moved to Fargo ND. Getting settled in. I had to sell my hound when I moved out here. I was wondering if there was anyone close by that hunts with hounds? Would like to find someone to talk dogs with. I hunted coons in MI and hogs in FL. Really interested in tote hunting but more than ...

I have a young female ukc pkc registered treeing walker coonhound. Not finished but started. She has run and treed her own wild coons. I have never hunted her with another dog. She has never been ill with any dogs I have had her around though. She handles fairly easy but she likes to hunt and ...

Re: What should I do?
I was thinking coyote to. But last couple times out she has treed two coons and put something in a hole. She doing alot better than when I got her. I just pulled her off the hole and praised the heck out of her on the trees. She is dead silent on a coon track so that is another reason I think it was ...

What should I do?
I had my dog bee line last night for probably a mile or better. I would think deer. I have turned this dog out rihgt on a deer just to see if she would chase it. She ran right where it was standing and never paid it any attention. I can't get her to open on a coon. Last night she was all open on ...

Re: Fast dogs?
Faster Hound Breeds. Let's See Greyhound, Stag, Saluki, Whippet, Pharoah, Borzoi, then after that probably your running scent hounds, then the treeing hounds, then the short rabbit type hounds.

Re: What's the strangest breed/cross of coon dog you've used
I believe it all comes down to the dog. I have a Catahoula/Hound cross that has no interest in hunting anything but a food dish and a under the covers with my gf. But my Great Pyrenees will will run a hot coon track and tree with my walker female on a cage coon. Never tried her actually hunting she ...
