Re: Squirrel Dogs?
I tend to agree with Dan. It's been a long time since I did any cat hunting, I live in Ga. Now, but I have begun messing with Mountain cur dogs, and have thought before about at least crossing the ability that my current Kemmer pup has for locate, natural tree, on to some cathound stuff. About 45 ...

Re: Sick coon?
Coon was on the ground when I saw it, on it's feet, Heard the dog bark not 25 yards away, in a little creekbed, about the time I saw it, it was arched up, fighting posture, dog zigged, snatched him by the rearend off his feet, got a throat hold, two or three quick shakes it was dead. First coon for ...

I had my dog out this morning, he caught And killed a full grown coon. Way too easy. Should I be concerned? He has had his shots.

Fox/no coyote
I have a Kemmer that loves to run track as Well as tree, making a meat dog, squirrel, coon. My question: can a dog be allowed to run fox, but broke off coyotes? We Have both here, would love to run the one, want nothing to do with running 'yotes in this terrain. Thanks in advance.

Re: Foxhound blood
I guess that, being impressed by the way those packs handle, not an e collar in the bunch, all the dogs in the pack consistent as to size, conformation, speed, style, etc. obviously highly linebred. I just wonder if there wouldn't be a good outcross there. I saw a interesting video on a site called ...

Re: Foxhound blood
I don't doubt that your dogs handle like a dream, wasn't implying otherwise. Honestly though, most hounds are knuckle heads, and it takes a special kind of moron to put up with them and stick to getting a handle on 'em. We still all run e collars on them, the 30+ packs of horseback foxhounds don't ...

Foxhound blood
Hello, this is my first post on this board. I no longer run big game hounds, although I did many (30) years ago in Wa.. I still run Beagles in Ga., I love this site for nostalgic reasons I guess. My question: I see discusions on here as to breeding different types of hound to infuse desirable traits ...
