Re: Sign this grizzly hunting petition

I lived in Alexis Creek from 93-95. Hunted on Potato Mtn. and watched three Grizz feeding on a muley deer carcass that they had run a hunter off of. Lion hunted all around the area, but really liked hunting out by Kings place. Would love to come back again one day.

Re: Sign this grizzly hunting petition

I have said this before and will again. Move some Grizzly Bears, Wolves, Black Bears and Lions, into Stanley park, Central Park, maybe downtown LA, to roam free and eat and do as they wish. They did roam there long before even the First Nations. See how the URBANITES deal with them then. The only ...

Re: How many generations before

Most of us in the Hound world, use the name of the "Famous" breeder whose dogs are the background of our own hounds. What I disagree with is guys using the "Famous" name as their own kennel name. I think that when a dog is Registered under a kennel name, that name becomes registered as well, and ...

Re: black and tan, redbone, or english

I would look for a good, honest, well respected Houndsman that hunts coyotes, and has success. One who is not afraid to have you check him out and contact guys who have knowledge of his dogs and person.
There are still afew of those guys around.

Good luck
I know two who fit the bill and if you ...

Re: Montana Lion Hunting

If someone wants to lay a complaint there are two things that he better have. One is the FACTS and the other is he damn sure better make sure his backyard is spotless. Life is a bitch when it comes back to bite you on your hiney.
I was fortunate enough to meet and visit with John, and a finer ...

Re: These Guys are Certified to Imobilize Wildlife ???????

If we are registered with the C.O.'s and get called out. They pay for the callout.
I have only been called out maybe 4-5 times in 12 years. Not very lucrative. LOL

Re: These Guys are Certified to Imobilize Wildlife ???????

In most places in BC now it is the Game Wardens (Conservation Officers) policy to shoot all bears and lions that are considered "Problem Wildlife" Heck they even have Deer culls for the deer in towns.
It all comes down to the all mighty dollar. The CO's can only drive thier trucks sparingly from ...

Re: Awesome Big Game Blue Lines?

That is what I noted about the Upson dogs. They have really nice tight feet. The three pups from Little Blue are really nice and tight.
The male we have from Upson's Rocky are the best feet I have seen on a male.

Re: Awesome Big Game Blue Lines?

Duece , I have two of the females out of Little Blue and Skipper. There are two males that my friends have and all are really nice pups.
Larry just sent his Upson's Rocky back to Michigan and Wisconsin, for studding. He throws awesome pups.

Re: Upson Line of Blues

I bred into the Upson line, through Upson's Rocky, that is owned by Larry Anderson in Montana. I have seen and hunted with dogs from Rocky out of 4 different females. All were the type of dog that want to be at the head of the pack. He is a truely incredible reproducer. I have bred him to one of my ...

Re: Awesome Big Game Blue Lines?

Sebastian/Smokey River. Really like the Upson blood as well. Have done very well crossing into it. It has alot of the old Smokey River blood.
I have three pups from Dennis Little Blue I am really looking forward to hunting.
