Re: Has anyone used the tinyloc gps

Jeff,
Have you tried the software Tinyloc has to use mapping on your phone? Really want to find something to get off this Garmin.

Re: New Alpha collars

I really like the concept but $300 is too much for a tracking collar. There are lots of good telemetry collars for $100-$150. Garmin has lost their mind.

Re: wildlife materials

I like the Wildlife 3190 collars. To me they are the best I've used and you can change the battery without sending it back. Great distance and durability. But for the box it's hard to beat the Magnum Telemetry MT-8000. To me it is by far the best buy for the money.

DC 40 Multi Collar Charger

Does anyone sell a charger for the DC 40's that will charge multiple collars? If so, how much? It is aggravating trying to scatter the collars all over the house to charge them.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Re: Garmin Parts

A similar thing happened to me with a Midland CB. I sent them an e-mail and they sent a new cover free.

Re: GPS VS TELMETRY

I think the two reasons people prefer telemetry are battery life and range. Some dogs are not easily caught before the Garmin collar battery dies. If Garmin corrects that problem, I think the telemetry manufacturers may shut down.

Re: garmin questions

I am working on a true satellite tracking device. No ping signals. Your dogs can be in the mountains of Tennessee and you in the mountains California with out any service and you will know where each other is.[/quote]

If you can make a true satellite tracking device that people can afford you will ...
