We have had some single digit lows this winter ..... par for our area in Jan.

But we also have a mature bear staying out and about!

I have seen bear tracks in a foot of snow on Christmas Eve before but this tops all I have ever seen.

A forman for a neighboring fruit ranch called me three days ago ...

I doubt that an African cat cares a whit about hounds as they don't have the same instincts that the NA puma does towards the wolf family (dogs).

But I sure view a bayonet more favorably now.

I have the first of the series of vids from O'Gorman's and one thing to keep in mind is that you MUST be right on top of a active den to get the coyotes to get enough guts to challenge a dog big enough to hold it's own.

The size and agressiveness of your dog does play into the equation but when it ...

The WDFW is proposing a ban on using dogs in Washington State on coyotes ......
