Sometimes they will even stream video on TVW.

I am not trying to nitpick (we are on the same side) and I might be mildly paranoid but I want to ...

Re: Washington Hound Hunters

Hey, two favors: will you post Cenci's revised proposal language (I think you sent it to me but I don't want to steal your glory) and would you follow up with him to clarify if his plan is to resubmit the proposal BEFORE the April Commission vote or if he is just planning ahead to the next three ...

Re: thank you from OTHA

You know Jason that is a lot of exclamation points, especially when the Hound Council home page, the event flyer and the BGH forum post all clearly say "Water Race & Award Banquet".
Now if you were directing your point towards me then I forgive you, I have great sympathy for adults that can't read ...

Re: thank you from OTHA

Fair enough. All in ther spirit of showing appreciation. Just so Kelly and the organizers at OTHA know how much we love them for putting together great events.

I will search you out at the next event we can both attend to talk more George.

Thanks.

Re: thank you from OTHA

George I am glad that you decided to write-in and thank the organizers. My family and I were some of those unaware of your agenda and if by fellow 'trouble makers' you are referring to the group asking to speak for the Hound Council in matters political (if not then please indulge me as I make an ...

Re: Washington State's Night Hunting Rule Changes

The Night Hunting Rules are still on the WDFW agenda for the upcoming meeting. The Wildlife staff are not recommending it based on some of the excellent public comments. However since it was in the proposal and since it was introduced by Enforcement, it will still be voted on by the Commission, who ...

Proposed Washington State Night Hunting Rules (cross-post)

WDFW's Enforcement Program is proposing some fairly ridiculous night hunting rules explicitly meant to make their job of IDing big game poachers easier while really impacting raccoon hound hunters as well as other under-represented night hunters.

coon hunting handguns

Thinking of trying a Ruger Mark II or III for raccoon hunting. I know several folks that use big revolvers for bear. Anybody hunt with a handgun with coonhounds (my hands are getting pretty full)? What model and have you had any problems with glare off a stainless piece like the Mark III Hunter ...

Re: Washington State's Night Hunting Rule Changes

Amen. Creating new rules to enforce in order to make it easier to enforce the rules that already exist is a fascinating twist of logic and is removing hunting opportunities. WDFW doesn't collect any data on coon hunters so these certainly aren't any kind of conservation based rules. My big beef is ...

WDFW's Enforcement Program is proposing some fairly ridiculous night hunting rules explicitly meant to make their job of IDing big game poachers easier while really impacting raccoon hound hunters as well as other under-represented night hunters (bobcat, bullfrog giggers, pigs, etc.).
