Re: Garmin question

I have ran astro and now run alpha. I don't collar my dogs up until I'm ready to turn loose. If I'm using the truck radio, I'll run that on medium or high until I'm ready to turn loose when I switch it to low. Then, when the radio is on low, I turn my GPS and the collars on and collar up dogs.

Re: GLONASS Satellites

There is no way that Garmin could have known that was going to happen when they started building the TT15 collar (which I'm assuming was over a year ago).

My guess is that when it all started going down they were so far into it that they just said "release them anyways and hope we get the GLONASS ...

Re: New Tracking collars from Garmin 2014

Buddy,

Can you please expound on the effectiveness of how GLONASS helps with keeping communication between the collars and the handheld (for example an Alpha 100)?

The way I see it, the GLONASS will help the collar keep GPS signal, but it won't increase communication between the collar and the ...

Re: Real Deal Bear Pack!

I'm actually the one that made that as a joke for a buddy of mine that is as colorblind blue as they come.

It's just for a good laugh, he has great dogs. I just like to pick on him, as he does me about my walkers.

Glad to see everyone enjoying it.

Would love to have one and try out the new system. Track and train in one collar would eliminate a collar on the dog and would be nice to not have interference with others in the group.

Re: bear and bobcats

I can only speak for the UP of MI as I'm unfamiliar with the laws for the other states.

There is a lot of public land available, but there are also a lot of hunters from the UP and LP that hunt it with commercial baiting operations as well as hound hunters. Michigan's bear population is down due ...
