Re: ROTTWEILERS

I've only owned two german (one currently) and both were female but both were amazing family dogs. A friend of mine has an american rott that is equally as nice. Honestly, I think either make wonderful pets. My weiner dog on the other hand.......... :P

Re: ROTTWEILERS

If you don't care where its from, I could have my wife dig up the paperwork for my Rott. We got her in Vancouver, Wa. and her parents were from Germany. In fact, the breeders kids had to translate for us. lol My rott is a beautiful dog and perfect around my family. The only annoying (but good) thing...

Re: A bobcat hunting book

"As far as the cold nosed thing goes, this is a discussion that has gone on for decades, and maybe even centuries, with people a whole lot smarter than me. I have learned, however, that when I give a dog a ton of practice at it, they get better, and better, and better at it. I have seen them go...

Re: A bobcat hunting book

I agree though, there is nothing more disgusting than a dog that does not show desire when you think they should. On a couple extremely gifted dogs, I have had to look the other way. In my younger days, the dogs would never have stayed. The more human- like intelligence qualities a dog takes on, the...

Re: A bobcat hunting book

Don't forget, determination...aka drive, fire, go, sand, desire etc. In my opinion, that is the single trait that can act as a central hub that will develope the other traits if the dog is given enough exposure. If a dog has a very high desire to catch a cat, even a dumb dog can learn and even a slo...

Re: Dog won't eat

She ate some of her food today, finally. She still looks bad and didn't eat all of it but I guess she finally decided to quit holding out for goodies. We'll see if she'll keep on eating. I sure hope so.

Re: Dog won't eat

I was concerned about the tooth thing but she'll eat jalepeno potato chips without a problem. :) I was worried about the food being bad so I cleaned her dish and then put fresh food from a fresh bag in her dish. She will take a bite then just leave it until it goes bad.

Re: Dog won't eat

In my first post, I said that I will NOT keep a dog that won't eat the food the others eat. That is my choice. If you don't want to keep a dog for a certain reason, that is also your choice. I was merely asking for opinions before I give up on the dog. If I remember right, THAT is what the post was ...

Re: Dog won't eat

So, Livetohunt, you're basically calling me out saying I'm not taking care of my dog and I'm irresponsible??? Awesome. Well, hopefully, I can learn a bunch from you because I'm obviously very inexperienced. hahahahaha

Re: Dog won't eat

I've tried softening it with water, bacon grease, milk, you name it. I've even tried heating it in the microwave with those things to make it warm for her. I'd think something was wrong but she will flat devour chips, hot dogs, or anything I eat. I put roast in her food tonight and she picked all th...

Dog won't eat

Ok, so I got my Lulu dog back a couple months ago and everything seemed fine but she had a bad canine. It finally got bad enough that I took her in to get it fixed. At that time, they found breast cancer so I had them give her a good workin over. After surgery, she was fed soft dog food because of h...

Re: Anyone interested in this cross

Nice looking pups, Marshall. I sure like the looks of the two on the far right in the top pic. Very nice markings, in my opinion.
