Re: cold trail or jump?
Come hunt with me. We are talking about a jump track here. I can put you with a couple of other guys if you want to see there dogs that do it also. Dewey I've hunted with guys who put up as many cats as anyone and I've never seen a dog that will jump the cat and put him up within 20 minutes 90% of ...

Re: cold trail or jump?
I live to tree bobcats. I would rather listen to the dogs work out a cold trail for hours then listen to 20 minute jump. I may get 1 or 2 hard races a winter, if it is not because bluffs or road runners it will be caught on the ground. I like to hear a trail job that is moving through the country f...

Re: cold trail or jump?
I'm with JC and David on this. I also think that the ability to catch a jumped cat also tells me the dog could cold trail if it wanted to and, from what I've seen, a lot will eventually settle down and work a nasty track out. I don't think catching jumped cats has nearly as much to do with the speed...

Re: 2014 hunting pics...so far.
I didn't think I'd get to hunt this year due to elbow surgery but, thankfully, Idaho will let you use a crossbow with a bum arm. It cut my effective range but it was a blast to hunt with. Different, but really fun.

Here's some pics of hunts I've either done myself or taken people on this year. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n149/jcathunter/1896741_10201385859042479_737087971_n_zpsb12e035d.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n149/jcathunter/IMG_3851_zps3f874346.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n149...

Damons first bear with a bow
This bear has been ruining pups for me all summer so, once kill season came, it was time for him to go. Damon made a great shot and it was a great day with a fine young man.https://vimeo.com/108073182?utm_source=email&utm_medium=clip-transcode_complete-finished-20120100&utm_campaign=7701&...

Re: Garmin bigger screen coming out ever
I'd like to see a screen we could mount in the pickup and plug into the garmin and use it as a seperate monitor. Then, when walking we could just unplug the garmin

Re: DO NOT UPDATE GARMIN WITH A MAC!!!!!!
I went online and followed all the directions for updating my alpha and collars with my macbook pro and it locked up my collars and made them ring like a phone. You should have answered it. Was probably the CSA calling to ask a few questions about where your dogs have been. You could have asked the...

DO NOT UPDATE GARMIN WITH A MAC!!!!!!
I went online and followed all the directions for updating my alpha and collars with my macbook pro and it locked up my collars and made them ring like a phone. No joke. I called Garmin and the guy laughed and said "yeah, thats a known issue. You can't update with a Mac" I asked why their ...

Re: New to State and Sport
Don't listen to that bluetick advice coming from an eastern coon hunter. :P :P :P hahahaha You have to get a furtakers hunting license to run coon in Oregon and a bobcat harvest card to run bobcat. Pursuit season starts Sept 1st and kill season for coon is Nov 15 and cat is Dec1. Cat season runs to ...

Re: Short hunting video
Thanks for watching it, guys. One thing that turned out pretty neat is that the tree was Rebels last tree. She was full of tumors and didn't make it. I feel fortunate that we were able to preserve that day.
