Re: Have a question for you experienced fox hunters
What is the history of Dingos? I know they are wild dogs but was under the impression that they were brought in ages ago by the ancestors of the aboriginal people. And then went feral.

Re: ear wounds/ tore ear
Depends on the location and the state of my wallet. If its not life threating and you are short on funds and time or the dog will not sit still, just trim it up and let it heal on its own. Spray with some good wound dressing every day. Cheapest stuff are those made for horses works fine on dogs too,...

Re: 6 plus black and tan in Arizona
You got me. I just cut and pasted that from another site. In the hopes someone would know something. Seems strange that someone is not looking for them, unless they were let loose on purpose.

6 plus black and tan in Arizona
This was just posted on a facebook hunting site. Cut and pasted the following: "Does anyone know of anybody that is or has run hound dogs down on the Gila River near Palo Verde? Either someone is missing about 6 hounds or they are feral, they were not friendly when approached but just wanted to...

Re: Mike Kemp Dog Review-2017
Let us all know I've herd a lot of good stuff about his dogs! On the other side of the coin a friend of mine year s back bought a dog from him and Mike called him about two years later telling him to have the dog cut so he couldn't breed him. Nope!! I don't know the full story... but a possibility ...

Re: Tracking blood or wounded deer
I have a 1/2 lab 1/2 walker that's now 12 and he is still going. Fox, lion and bobcat, he will go after bear but is too smart to go after the mean ones(pulls off a mean one and comes back to me. he will go back and trail at my urging but I have to be right there with him if its a mean one.) He also ...

Re: Lost voice
Good to know. He opens his mouth and tries but all that comes out most of the time is a squeak. But he does still have some of the deeper bawl type sounds. I think he should rest his voice but how to tell him that...

Lost voice
Dog lost his voice after keeping a bear up at tree over night. Its been more than 2 weeks now and he is still almost silent on his trailing bark now. His treed bark is close to what it was before.
Has anyone else dealt with this and did the voice recover over time?

Re: Feet - what's the issue ?
I would love to see pictures of "coon foot" and a "cat foot" side by side so we could compare. I don't know that I have ever seen a "coon foot"... I believe the way a dog runs can affect how their bodies hold up too. I had a dog that ran heavy, by that I mean you could ...

I have treed a few Ocelot and they don't run any different than bobcats.

Re: Little Blue, gone but not forgotten
Sorry to hear that but sounds like a good long run for a hound.
