Re: Lion hunting
This time of year, learn the deer heards. If you can find large concentrations of wintering deer, you will find cats. It's always easiest to figure out where the grocery store is and start hunting from there

Re: Lion hunting
Basically just pick a mountain range and go to cutting roads until you find yourself some cats. There is more than plenty of hunting not too far from you. You just have to get out and do it

Ruger single 7
I've been thinking about getting a new pistol and lever gun setup. The ruger single 7 in 327 federal mag has really caught my eye for a couple years now. And there are starting to be some lever guns coming out for the caliber. I am mostly curious about the pistol because that is what I will have on ...

Re: Facebook group
My advice is first give up on Facebook. That social media crap is a bunch of nonsense. Second give up on half of what you read on here and take the other half as just good entertainment

Re: Kidney failure
I think you are going way overboard on the ivormec. Unless you cut it with something that is way too much. I can't remember off the top of my head the name of what it's cut with. I personally worm with equimax, just a little over the amount of about a pencil eraser. Or will do straight ivormec, 0.3 ...

Re: About the field.
I would definitely agree with pegleg on this. If killing an animal is your main goal and accomplishment, than hound hunting may not be for you. I'm not knocking a person that just wants to kill an animal. But hunting with hounds, no matter what the desired game is tends to have nothing to do with th...

Re: What Democrats are not doing
I know the irony in what I'm about to say, because I'm putting it on the internet. But people need to stop making judgments about people with opposite political views based off of what they read on the internet or hear on a radio program. Both those platforms pander to the extremest and lead people ...

Re: A Legend Passes
I never did get to meet Del Cameron, and I wish I could have. I have enjoyed reading his book many times over. And am lucky enough to have a dog that is half his blood and half Boone's blood. He is the most favorite dog I have owned for multiple reasons, and is one heck of a hunter thanks to great b...

Re: Nance bred dogs in general
Mike Leonard, is that strain of Millie dogs you are breeding kinda timid acting? I've only had a couple of dogs from the Millie stuff, but the ones I had I definitely couldn't get after very hard at all. But they were very early starters and very natural. Definitely above average hunting dogs. But n...

Re: Dogs age??
The biggest training for you to work on around the house with her is handling. Make sure she comes when you call, loads in the pickup when you tell her to, and leads without dragging you around. Sit, lay down, shake and roll over is for house dogs, hounds don't need to know circus tricks. But that's...

Re: Coon hunting supplies
Oh and a lead may come in handy. But you can make one out of just about anything. One that you can tie your dog back to a tree is best, but you can make any sort of leash work. I've even used my belt a time or two.

Re: Coon hunting supplies
That's the best part about coon hunting when it comes to being young and broke. It doesn't take much to be successful. All you need is a dog and some sort of flashlight. Just get out and hunt and enjoy yourself. The more you hunt the better both you and your pup will get. And don't be afraid to go d...

Re: Keeping My old Hound Comfortable this winter
Another dog would be good too. My dogs are always doubling and tripling up in a dog house in the winter, and it doesn't even get that cold here. I've seen enough pile in one house together to where it makes no sense how they are comfortable, but they seem to enjoy it
