It was time to enable and bring this site further into the hounding Future.

Many folks are now using Andriods, iphones and BlackBerry Smart phones and navigating through this site which was difficult at times. The App that you'll want to download on your Phone is called tapatalk and you'll want to search for BigGameHoundsmen. Once you install that it should be very easy to use this site on your phone.

This "should" not affect any computer access and the website should work the same for normal users who visit by Computer.

Please Try it out and Let me know how you like it. I believe there are two verisons, one is a Free tapatalk app, or you can pay the one time fee of 2.26- 2.99 for the Full Tapatalk version. I looked into have a separate app built for this website however all the qoutes that I recieved were 2,000-4,000 which would have made me want to charge 10 bucks each.. So I decided not to go that route.

You can try out for 24 hours and if you uninstall it, they will refund your money.


Let me know what you think.. the only issue so far that I've seen is I have some 2000 PM messages since I haven't deleted them.. It took a while for them all to come through, I'll probalby need to file them away better.

O.k., so I paid the $2.99 and downloaded it (wish it was free but what is?). I haven't played with it much so I'm sure I'm missing some stuff but it is nice because it sizes stuff correctly, unlike when using internet. My biggest knock, and I probably just haven't figured out how to do it, is the "view new posts" feature. Thats what I always use when I come on and didn't see it on the tapatalk ap. If I figure that out then its great and worth my hard earned three bucks.

Yes I use the view new post button also.

Closest thing I've found when your looking on the forum, Select the "Latest"
Then there is an option on top for "unread"

Then it only shows the posts that you haven't read yet and seams to act like the view new posts button. It will take a little getting used to but It's better than having to re size the screen every time you click on something to read it.

And it appears that I was wrong, they don't offer the Free app anymore.. Which sucks.. But I agree it was worth the couple dollars.

Having trouble with tapatalk, coincidentally timed with the forum's facelift. Is it just me, or are there actual problems with the tapatalk plugin on your end?

Downloaded app. Pulled up BigGameHoundsmen under search but every time I click on BGH it tries to download then says "failed to connect to forum, please check with the forum administrator if this problem persist."

I pulled up "Texas Blood Trackers" and it downloaded it and I looked at the forum. I also pulled up "East Texas Hog Doggers" and it downloaded it and I viewed the forum. But can't get it to download BGH.

I have the same issue.

Can someone test this an let me know. Unfortunately my phone was getting cleaned in the washing machine this weekend and I haven't had time to get it replaced yet.

So I can't check it out. But I re-installed it. So I'm going to assume it's working?
