Re: Ivermectin
Been using it for 15 years for heart worm preventative. Never had a case. I get one of my hounds tested per year. When I started this regiment, I lived in a county that one in six dogs were testing positive.
High Hopes for the Pack
Re: Ivermectin
We live in the northwest and I use it monthly. It is really good for keeping ticks and fleas off your dog. I have literally seen it kill a latched on tick in about 2 days. Also use that Equimax paste horse wormer. It has ivermectin in it and that pyrantel so it gets the tapeworms as well.

Re: Ivermectin
My lord here we go again C'mon guys really? Ivomec does not work on ticks. After 2 days the tick was most likely full. Either way by then it has already injected the toxins. Pyrantel does not work on tapes. Would be nice because it is cheap. Perhaps you misread the label and it is Praziquantel.
I mean really. If you are smart enough to get on here and post something. You are smart enough to make a few clicks and do the research on what things do. Ivomec is used and in most heartworm meds. It is used to treat most worms except tapes.
I posted this on another thread but here it is again. This is right from the ivomec sight.
