If your actually looking to book a hunt with a licensed outfitter you would be exempt of the hound permit, but it sounds like your looking for someone to illegally guide you, which is a no, no in the state

Hey d_d I think you misunderstood Scotts post. If you read the headline of the post it said outfitters or guide please help. Scott is deaf so it may be hard for him to word stuff correctly sometimes. I think what he is trying to say is that he wants some help from an outfitter, but he don't want a fully guided hunt. Maybe pointed in the right direction and a little help if needed. Hopefully scotts posts don't turn into a pissing match. He was just asking for help. I have met scott before and he seems like a good guy just wanting to run his hounds. :D

I'm sure hes a good guy and am sure he don't want to get pinched in a bad position, just making him aware of that. His wording is a bit hard to understand. IOGA's website has a list of outfitters he can look over and contact if hes looking to book a hunt. www.ioga.org It sounded more to me he was looking for a local to take him out in exchange to be compensated and tipped, which is illegal and also making him vulnerable to get scammed in the process. Theres no pissing match here, just hope he knows the state laws in order to protect himself.

I'm in Southern Idaho. It is getting late to hunt lions this year. Idaho closes in three weeks and the snow is melting. If you want to go lion hunting I can help you for a small fee. I have a few honey holes and would be happy to help you out.
