Tri Tronic G-2 TRANSMITTER battery

Postby Dale T » Thu Nov 24, 2016 2:43 am

Has anybody found any G-2 transmitter batteries? Or have you had only the battery replaced in the housing on the transmitter?

I never could find one. I cut the case about a 1/4 in don from the top of the battery and replaced the batteries inside with a battery pack from one of those battery stores. Then I resealed and glued it together with silicone.

I talked to a local electronic shop and they were able to cut the top off the battery case and replace the batteries with a 800mAh flat top battery with solder tabs for $38.93 parts and labor. From what I have found from the suppliers that have been out of them for years they were $35.00+ when you could get them.
