I am NOT a competition hunter, I mainly big game (bear and bobcat) hunt, I coon hunt some but not in the competition hunts. I am the breeder of this litter(s) (I made this cross twice, Onza is 9 years old) and can tell you all you want to know about the parents and siblings and other relations.
For now I'm asking $150 per breeding, for frozen you pay shipping. Otherwise you bring your female (negative brucellosis test required) to me.
I will not do fresh chilled, only frozen.
He was frozen with the ICSB company and had a very high count with high motility and quality. I'm not so much interested in making stud money as much as I'm interested in getting more of this blood out there for me to dip back into and see what happens with other crosses.
I always thought his dad (Mojo) had something to offer the bluetick world but advertising a non-Nite CH from the west coast can be pretty hard, guess I should have tried harder!
A little about Onza, he is a 'houndier' looking dog (he weighed 74 pounds last trip to the vet).
He is a VERY smart dog, he is a very kind dog, not ill tempered at all. He has an awesome personality - I think all the dogs from this litter do.
He is cold nosed, more cold nosed than what most people around here bear hunt with.
He is still a very fast dog, in his prime I never saw a dog of any breed get ahead of him.
He is a smart track dog, he can trail an iced up cat track by sight until he can smell it and then cold trails without any boohooing, goes in one direction not back and forth in the same place, he goes and finds it. Once its jumped he runs with his head up and will cut the track to get closer.
If I have a need to cold trail bear or coon he will do the same.
He is a good locater (you have to have one to consistently tree bobcats and not trees) and a good tree dog. He does tree hard and if you have to wait til' daylight the next day to go to him he will still be there.
He is bawl mouthed on track and trees with a chop and sometimes short bawl.
He is an awesome rig dog.
He is a one dog bear/cat catching machine.
He is a good bay dog and can handle a rough bear by himself, he will pull hair when he can but he is smart enough to know when he can't get it done without getting caught.
He is a good coon dog and a good water dog, most of my coon hunting is during the day and only when I can't get in the woods for bear or cats.
Onza;
I have only got to breed Onza once so far (I really only breed when I need more young dogs and like I said bluetick stud dogs are a hard commodity to sell out here) that was to a Buzz Anderson bred female. I kept a male pup, he is doing very well, treed the first bear I ever put him on (basically by himself) and has only been doing better since. This is his second bear and cat/coon season he is a complete dog by himself on all of them. Seems to be decently cold nosed and he can run with his daddy. Coon hunting he is always busy and will strike first and trees good and accurately, he is also a good water dog. He got a good loud bawl mouth, bawl and chop on tree. He is also not hard to look at and did well in the shows last year. He turned out a little shorter eared and racier looking than his dad. I can say that Onza is a track smart dog and his son here is even better than him, he will shorten a track quick. I am hoping to make the cross again, Skedaddle has been bred once so far so we'll see how they turn out.

If you can stand my narration here are some links to videos, through them you should be able to see my photo album and other videos. Finallly got out of the stone age in the last couple years and got some cameras that work better.
Onza and Skedaddle are in most of the videos, all of the dogs in the videos are closely related to Onza.
Two barely 5 month old pups out of Onza's sister are also on this video, (half masked dogs in pink collar and a blue collar). This is the second bear they had seen.

Skedaddle is a nice young dog and really doing an awesome job, thats why he is being bred and a repeat of his cross is being made.

Cross will be made this fall if litter #1 or #2 does not happen, otherwise will be made next spring. I own the female for this litter. Should be some tough dogs and hopefully have the natural cat ability of both parents, should be smaller and tight built but may be shorter eared looking. Pups have been born from the first cross (Skedaddle x Charlie), will maybe have 2 females available around the middle of June...I will post more (and the owners number) closer to the time they can go to their new homes. They are all blaze faced and very open spotted - mostly ticked.

I think these dogs should be midsized, medium to cold nosed (at the very least cold enough to start most tracks that most people want to fool with) , open good mouths on track and be fast.
Also have had Lily here and made the repeat cross to Onza...hopefully pups will be ready in about 4 months. This is a repeat and proven cross, see pedigree in above posts. Pups will be in central California. They should also be midsized, medium to cold nosed (like I said cold enough to start most tracks that most people want to mess with, and VERY track wise), good mouths, open on track and extremely fast.
