If the mother and the son have all the desired traits you want in a hound breed them. Dave Dean's best cross he made was a Son bred back to it's Dam. This kind of breeding would not work if they are not truly want you want for a hound. The undesired traits could surface as well.

I'm looking for something just a little different. Not trying to have more of the same.

Line breeding and inbreeding may be suitable under some circumstances, but I'm looking for a deliberate outbreeding. I'm still looking for the right female that would be a good compliment.
