At least you have 3. Keeper looks like his mother. I really like him for a bluetick

I have seen this on here a few times what is the advantage of removing front dew claws that are attached ? I remove them from beagles at two days old with a small pair of wire snips but have never done it to tree hounds. Maybe I should but I always thought of them as tree hooks and never had a problem with them. Just wondering if I am not up to speed with everyone else?

we run on snow in the winter and it saves them from getting ripped off. it can spoil a good trip when you drive 3000 miles to hunt and the first day out they rip a dew claw out and lays them up.on dry ground they don't bother but a crusty snow it can rase havoc.

You have opened my eyes. Thank you. My next litter of pups might have tails docked and dew claws removed.

Thanks
