Bluetick Pedigree Info

I picked up, of all things, a three year old male blue dog yesterday afternoon. He's already running and treeing and just needs to be hunted. I know nothing of bluetick bloodlines though, so yall tell me what you think and what exactly I have gotten myself into! I read in the bluetick issue of Coonhound Bloodline that the JET V dog was the top prducing male bluetick in history but thats all I know. These papers were printed in 2005, my new copy hasnt come in yet. And FYI, this dog has the most unusual coloring I have ever seen. I will post a pic later but he is blueticked on his back up his neck and down his sholders. His legs, chest, and halfway down his hindquarters are red ricked and he has a solid red head with a white and red ticked nose and blaze !

I know a little about the Wilmoth blood lines. Wilmoth's Blue Handyman was all uchtman on the bottom I can't tell you much about that. But the top is is mostly vaughn and sebastian blood with a little Smokey river and Bragg. I breed a line of vaughn and sebastian bred blueticks they do just fine for me. The Bennett's blue Sassie Gril is out of dogs I don't know anything about, her sire and dam are Myer's Blue Smokey II and Phillips Blue Kate. With the jet V in your hound your dog has alot of good dogs in his blood line he should be a good dog. Hope you have luck with him and good luck with all your dogs.
