Sweet Melody is a beautiful dog but I like Chrome a lot more! Damn nice houndy looking dog with nice long ears. Looks like he's gonna be a good dog! (assuming its a male)

hahah well of course I didnt look at the pictures that close. After you pointed it out I looked, i just scrolled through them fast. Are you going to start making your own strain of dogs now?

True, but I guess what I meant to say is he going to start producing them to sell. Im assuming he sold the rest of the litter but Im just curious if he is going to breed his female agian and have another litter of pups to sell later on. Far as I can remember he was keeping most of the pups, at least for awhile, and wasnt planning on getting rid of any of them.

I would say Tim hit this right on the head. Who's dogs would you say they were? I'd like to think they were mine. We all have to start somewhere, but once we move on to the next generation, it is no longer the foundation breeders dogs. I have never tried to claim that my dogs are Camerons. I have also never said that they were Minisink Valley. I said they had both as blood. As far as this particular litter, I kept these two. The others went to friends to hunt. None of them are strictly pets. They will all be hunted. Several went out of state to buddies, but the rest are close by. As far as how often I breed, that all depends on my personal needs. If I am wanting a few pups, I have options. Hope that helps to answer some of your questions.

I would like to know more about your dogs and how you use them. I have heard about the Cameron dogs and would like to know more. I hear great things like a 3 day nose and the ability to run day after day and hold up.

I mostly hunt deer and hog. To let you know how I use my dogs. During hunting season I get up around 4:00 am and track until daylight then I start putting on tracks all day long (there is very little time during a day we dont have a dog trailing or running) now days i run 1-3 dogs in a race so they have to have a good mouth.

I get a real good idea of a dogs nose hunting like this. if i leave around dark and find a track the next day i should be able to trail any track on top of my tire track any time the next day. It is getting hard to find people with dogs that have a nose this good. I have owned dogs that you had to be careful you did not put on a 2 day track because if you popped you fingers on it they would take it and it may be 6 or 8 hrs before you jump. But the good side is if you know that is that 12 point buck or that trophy hog you have seen before you can jump him some where instead of just bling casting and hopeing for the best.

Now i have a pack of about 12 not the best trail dogs i have ever owned but pretty good and it is rare someone pulls one out of their box with a colder nose.(again I dont claim to have good trail dogs anymore and would like to get into some with better noses).



I dont sell dogs just like to hunt and train dogs.

I live in Florida. Most of the 3-10 old track stories you hear are from somewhere with snow. I've never tried a 24 hour old track with these dogs, and would not expect them to be able to take one in the Florida heat. As you have said, if it is from the night before, there should be no problem with them being able to get it up. Not only are these dogs on the faster side of hounds, they have above average track speed. My dogs are very vocal on track. If you are wanting a silent hog dog, then I can assure you, you won't be happy with what I'm packing. I don't deer dog hunt these dogs, and I don't intend to. I hog hunt them. I do have a couple I coon hunt as well. Not sure if I answered you questions or not, but I tried.

Josh, I found some pics of the pups you kept on the Bluelines forum. Looks like you kept a couple from each litter. I gotta say that those pups are outstanding in the looks department. I bet you will be cleaning up on the bench with them! Fine job!
