Matt
Hey I appreciate it. I think that I am going to get a fellow from Harper, TX to haul the pup. He is a good friend and is going to Autumn Oaks. He hunts Walkers for coon...don't know if he is showing or hunting but has hauled one to Dennis for me years ago.
Thanks again,
Gary
P.S. Where are you from in NM?

Re: Upson Line of Blues
Here is a pic of my all blue upson bred Smokey
Here is a Pic of my female Upsons Copper
And here are a couple of pups from the two of them
Dennis kept two out of this litter, I have had the pleasure of hunting with Dennis and he has taught me a great deal of things, even when he doesn't realize it. His hounds have taught me that I do not need to be an expert dog trainer, I just need to take them hunting. The knowledge and care that Mr. upson has taken to his breeding will show in his hounds, they just plainly know, what to do!

Re: Upson Line of Blues
Dennis and I went coon hunting last week, we are going again tomorrow night. The wolves were around last week so we decided to quit while we were ahead of the game. How about you? Due you ever make it up here for cat season? I am trying to save some vacation for those fresh snow days, but the rut will be starting around here in a few weeks, so you might find me in a tree stand trying to bag that big buck. Nice to hear from you!

Re: Upson Line of Blues
Has anyone crosses a straight line breed cameron on a line breed upson before? If so how did they turn out?
Re: Upson Line of Blues
I have both upson and 100% cameron dogs they both do very well for me !!!! I am thinking about trying to cross them up and see what happens!!!!!! I don't think you would go wrong by trying that pup out !! My Upson male is 2 1/2 years old and doing great on lions and bears

Re: Upson Line of Blues
I have two males that are about 20 months old that are upson/smokey river x camron and so far they are doing a real nice job. Started real early have big mouths and alot of drive. I only run them on bear and they have put bears up by themselves. They were only 13 months old last season so I am really looking forward to this year. Hope this helps.

Re: Upson Line of Blues
Unfortunantly I was never able to get my female to go. Showed her about 25 bears coming out of trees.just never showed any interested. I would try another though every litter will have 1 dud. I just happen to get it.

i have two in my yard and they are some of the best i have.
Re: Upson Line of Blues
I bred into the Upson line, through Upson's Rocky, that is owned by Larry Anderson in Montana. I have seen and hunted with dogs from Rocky out of 4 different females. All were the type of dog that want to be at the head of the pack. He is a truely incredible reproducer. I have bred him to one of my females twice and what has come out of him has impressed me like no other. We have a 2.5 year old male that LOVES running bear. He has no problem grabbing a bear or fighting them. His sister out of the 2nd litter at 10 months old, struck and started her own bear, ran it and ended up in a cave with it. It turned out to be a Grizzly bear. Both are great on Lion as well.
Rocky is presently at Mike Fairchilds in Michigan, being bred to his female, and is then heading to Dennis's to breed to several other females. I missed breeding to the same female by a week. But will breed her in the fall.
I also have 4 other pups with Dennis's breeding in them that I can hardly wait to start on bears. If you are looking for a dog for bear hunting, I would suggest you contact Dennis.
