Looking for dog -- Dartez Brumley

Postby calblu » Tue Mar 29, 2011 12:00 am

I'm looking for any info on a dog named Bugle Mountain Blue Will that was owned by Dartez and Will Brumley. His DOB is 12/24/06.

You should be able to get ahold of Dartez in Olny, Texas. I met Dartez 30 years ago in Farmington, New Mexico and he has stayed a Vaughn blutetick man to the core.

Mike, I've been told he's no longer alive.
The dog I'm looking for is Wilmoth bred.

Dartez is deceased. He moved from Newcastle, TX to Talequah, OK a few years back. His son, Will ended up with all of the hounds and sold them to various folks. I think that Travis Black at San Angelo ended up with a couple of the dogs. Travis is a good guy and visited with me earlier in the week.
Good luck,

Anyone with further questions can contact me at buglemountain@yahoo.com. The fellow named Black didn't get a pup. I have two of the Bodacious pups and know of two others. I can assist those looking. The dog named Will is still registered to me. I have access to him if you have questions. I have all of dads paperwork if someone needs info.

Thanks

Will
The name Dartez Brumley struck a memory of mine from back when I ran blueticks while coon hunting and doing a bit of competition hunting. Curiously, I looked in the computer and see where Dartez went to Tahlequah to teach school, it said because of his love for teaching, and at 61 years of age had a heart attack. Wish the best to you and his family.

Are you still in the Waco area? Have not heard from you in some time and hope things are going well. I miss your Dad, he was one of the really nice guys out there.

Yes I'm still down here. Would like to move back home but it's just as hot and dry there. I miss Dad myself - everyday. I think I turned out just about as hardheaded. Ha. Y'all take care.

I was in the garage a couple of days ago and saw an old dog collar hanging on the wall. I pulled it down and looked the name tag. It was one of your Dad's for 20 years ago. "Bugle Mountain Blueticks". Your Dad sent a young female down here for me to train, he called her Mert. Do you remember the female? I think that she was a pup trainer for him for many years.

Yep she was a good one. She would go back in the woods and I could call her in any time. She had seizures and lived a fairly full life. The female I have now reminds me of her.
