Re: Crazy Cascade
I have hounds that came from him and when i got them they where what he said they would be and more. Early starters grit brains cold nosed and old school hound looks. And they are 100 percent cameron just like my other cameron hounds from other breeders that are all cameron. If you want to digg up stuff on him just call him and go hunt with the man the you will know for sure that what your looking for or not. Because on here if someone has a beef with the man it turns in to a big pissen match. I hope this will help you. Steve has been honest to me and the hounds i have hunt and get hunted hard on bear coon bobcat yotes and they hold up great. pm me your number if you want to talk thanks.
Re: Crazy Cascade
I cant really spend the dough to fly to Steves place hunt with him and fly back, then buy a 800.00 hound. Thank you for the feed back though. Anyone else,.... pics appriciated.

Re: Crazy Cascade
And I didnt really mean "diggin" like hes running for president but some feedback and pics or a pedigree would be helpful, thanks

Gotta start somewhere...
Re: Crazy Cascade
Anyone else out there the list for a pup around April?
Re: Crazy Cascade
mine is around 5 months old. would tell u the pedigree but still havent got the papers. he still has a high pitched squeal that hurts your ears. hasnt barked at a house cat or a coon yet finally licked one the other day and bit it very gentle like while my other dogs were chewing on it pretty hard. so seems like a late starter from what im use to we will see how he turns out. i hope his balls drop soon because i cant stand listening to him when he does bark. and hopefully i actually get the papers from steve! so all in all not exactly what i was expecting for 800$$
Re: Crazy Cascade
Ill take replys from both sides but damn if you got that much stuff goin on take it up with Steve, the pups are guaranteed and you should never take a pup or adult hound without the papers. Hope you get it straitened out.
Re: Crazy Cascade
I'm picking up a pup in may from Steve.hoping it works out.

Re: Crazy Cascade
i aquired a dog out of his kennel, he was a little over a year old when i got him. He would not do anything at all ( bay a cage critter, ride the box or even go with older dogs) this dog was showed more then 30 bobcats and a couple of lions and never showed any signs of being interested. in my opion ( and thats what it is is my opionon.) there is better cameron blood out there. i have also seen alot of cameron dog hell i own 13 and have never seen a 100% open ticked cameron. but good luck.

Re: Crazy Cascade
Sorry Klamathcathunter,
But I have to call nonsense when I see it. I have to set the record straight because I am familiar with the dog you talk about.
A man that lives here in Washington bought this dog from Phipps when he was just a young pup. This dog was being hunted on bear and coon and was doing extremely well. Then, you purchased him when he was over a year old. He also has a littermate that still lives here in Washington that is a fantastic bear and coon dog. Sometimes, people acquire dogs and ruin them with poor or inadequate training but I doubt this is the case with this dog.
You have to understand, us houndsmen talk to people in the same circles. For some time, you’ve been telling a lot of people that this dog is the best dog in your kennel . Furthermore , I’ve been to your website and you have his pedigree posted and pictures of him all over the place. Would someone with a worthless hound really do that? Quite simply, NO! Even more interesting, I understand you just got back from a 1.5 month work trip and supposedly came home to two of your dogs deceased and the rest of the hounds in such bad shape that they had to be put down, due to starvation. I heard this dog was one of them that supposedly staved to death.
For you to make false accusations and say the blood is not good, is simply absurd and shows you have an agenda or are not very familiar with the line. How many of these Crazy Cascade dogs have you worked with? I’m guessing only one. I used to see this sort of thing on the UKC website years ago. Good people or their dogs being put down to make themselves or another breeder look better, or someone trying to make another person look bad because they’ve got an axe to grind. I don’t know Mr. Phipps, Mr. Harrell or Mr. Cameron but have seen enough dogs in the northwest from their kennels to know when someone is blowing smoke about their dogs not having any ability. THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU READ ON THESE POSTS.
I am though sorry to hear about the loss of your hounds. Losing one hound is awful much less a bunch.
