My grandson asked me the other night if I knew anyone hunting redticks in the northeast for bear . Can someone give me a GOOD explanation of the difference between Redbone and Redtick ? To my way of thinking they are both good on bear . Though I can't say I have seen many Redtick in Maine . Sadly I may have to sit down and have a talk with him ,he tells me his NEW GIRLFRIEND thinks redticks look COOL . Yes he is 17 he may be THINKING with parts of his body that ain't really BRAIN CONNECTED

I use red ticks on bear here in NH they work great for me. they are all I need to tree bear consistantly.the difference between red ticks and red bones is diferent breeds of hounds.I have never hunted a red bone, but I'm sure they also do well on bear if you get the right line of dog, like any breed of hound certain lines do beter then others.
