Glad you got a couple you like. I've heard of Donnie
, supposed to have good dogs. If you decide to cross those two sometime down the road I'd sure like to buy one. If you want I'll send you a deposit now. I really like the dogs I have and if she's better I'd sure like to try some of that blood crossed with what you got from me. I like her looks and if she acts good you should have a winner. Keep me posted.

Hi kevin, after last night the price on the future pups went up, lol. :P I took the puppies by themselves to check corn fields for damage. Between the third and fourth drop Hank and Ruby struck off the rig. I opened the tail gate and they came flying out of the truck straight to the woods. Hank opened on track and was moving it pretty good so I grabbed the .22 and followed him. Low and behold he got treed up and there was 4 or 5 coons up the tree which probabley helped the matter. I shot one down for him and Ruby.

As for a deposit I dont need any and of course your first on the list at no cost. It probably wont happen for a couple of years though. If you get a chance drop me a line.

That,s awesome. I'm glad they're doing good, should only get better the more you hunt him. I really look forward to a pup if they make the grade and you make the cross. What's Hank sound like? Is he bawl or chop mouth, how loud, and does he have a good locate? Thanks for the update and pic. I'll give you a call this weekend.

Hi Kevin , heres a picture of Hank on his fifth bear.

He has a bawl mouth on track, a big long drawl out bawl for a locate and a distinct chop on tree. Once I figure out how to copy a video on here I'll post one of him treeing a bear. Did you get an update from any of his litter mates?

Talk to you soon

John, been pretty quite. A few are in state waiting for lion season, one is in Texas and the guy said he won't start it until it's a year and a half old. The others are all running and treeing from what I hear. Five out of eight isn't bad and the rest are just waiting for season as far as I know. I think the cross worked. Just picked up a seven month old German Shorthair so I've been bird hunting a lot. He pointed pheasants the first time out. Now we just have to work on retrieving. Took Billy and Sage out a couple nights ago and made a few trees. Cat season is almost here. Hank is looking good. Glad he's getting the exposure he needs, thanks for the updates.

Kevin,

My male is doing good. (Taco) He is doing really good on coons with the older dogs. He has got one by himself too. I am waiting for cat season he should do fine. I will take him to canada for lynx, but we will have to see how it goes.

Jack, thanks for the update. I really appreciate knowing how the pups I sell turn out, good or bad. It sounds like this cross worked. Hope they keep getting better.

Daisy is a great dog, but I haven't been doing my part getting her out. I am waiting on Cat season, when I plan to be out with her every weekend I am not shooting coyotes. Since things are calming down for me since my wedding, I am going to try to get her in the woods at least a half dozen times this month, just around the ranch, where I know there are some coons. I have down some work with her with a dead coon, and she was very interested, and would work a drag for several hundred feet, the only thing I haven't seen out of her is her mouth, she has been silent on the drags, until the tree and then she barks at the tree, but it isn't hard and consistent. She doesn't leave the tree, but she isn't crazy either, I am hoping I can get her in the woods and find a red hot trail to get her on and shoot out a couple to her to turn her on. Really, at this point though, coons are secondary, I am really getting pumped about getting her out with Kevin for CAT SEASON.

Billy accidentaly got in with Sage when I was gone working. I will keep one this time since I have time for it now. She is huge. More Billy x Sage pups on the way. Should pop within a couple weeks. Same as last time, $350 a pup / $50 deposit. I will take deposits on 6 pups for now.

Saw on here that you and billy got a couple bobcats today. I was down right outside monarch messing around and getting a christmas tree. I let Daisy run around, but there were a lot of people and we didn't drive enough or find any good tracks. All she found was a deer carcass. Still trying to get a live coon to get her fired up and definitely gonna give you a call next time I have a couple days off.

See, if you would have come cat hunting instead of tree hunting she would have seen some game. The biggest secret to training a dog is putting it on game, they need exposure. Get her up here every chance you have. Give me a call when you're coming up and we'll get together. Sage is way too big to hunt but Billy is ready. He did a nice job yesterday. Nothing fresh today so he's curled up by the fire now.
