Billy x Sage pups due soon

Left my dogs with my mom while I was working. She told me a while back that Billy got in with Sage but she didn't think he bred her. I just got back from out of state. He definately got her bred. I don't remember exactly when she was in heat. I'm thinking she'll pop in the next couple weeks. I wanted to keep one from the first cross but couldn't due to my work. Kind of a blessing in disguise I guess, I'm keeping one this time. The rest will be sold. Please look at the other Billy x Sage thread for pictures, pedigrees, and details on parents and pups from last cross. Pups are $350 a $50 deposit is required to hold one. I would totally take one if I didn't have my hands full with one of the first litter. I will put a recommendation though. My pup out of this cross hasn't been on any real game yet as she is only 7 months old, but she is the prettiest, sweetest dog I have ever met or handled, and she is smarter than is good for me. Hope the best for these pups as well.

I too will give a recomendation. I have a great female out of the first litter. Rain, ran to a spring bear tree(after the dogs were already treed) at just 3 months. During our take season, from Sept.1 thru Sept. 30, she made 3 additional trees. All of which, bear were shot out of. I have been working out of state and have not had a chance to chase any cats yet, but will be loading the dogs in the truck first thing in the morning.

Thanks guys. Sage is too big to hunt in the cold and deep snow. No lion tracks today. Turned Billy loose on a bobcat and treed it after a fairly long race. Found another track and he treed it too.

I wish you were closer, sounds like Hank is getting plenty of woods time. Still no lion tracks here. Too much snow, can't get anywhere without a snowmobile. Heading east tommorow to do some bobcat hunting. I'd rather run them than lions. Take care and thanks all for the kind words.

Hi Keven Has Sage had her pups yet ? One of my buddies has a realy nice female he was wondering what you thought about crossing billy with her. Sage had ten pups last night. Only way to know for sure is to make the cross. Billy has only been bred to a couple females but he is throwing nice pups. If the female is good it should work good. Tell him to give me a call if he wants. I have spent many nights in the woods with Boomer and Ruby and a few with Ranger. Billy is also out of Boomer and is a grandpup to Ranger. I think the cross would be a good one if the female is a good dog. I'd like to talk to him to see what she's like.

Wow 10 thats a realy nice litter how many males/females are in the litter im looking for a female ? Do you know anybody or hound houler that would take a pup to utah when there ready to go? Ya Mathew the kid that owns the dog is 15 he left to mexico for a while he should be back in a copple weeks thats why he had me talk to you about it iv hunted with this female quiet a bit shes a darker red and a fairly big female meduim nose she has seen a few lion and will track and tree her own coon. But ya I will have him give you a call when he gets back.

I hunted with her mom a bit when she was young. Like to talk with your friend when he gets back. sounds like the female does O.K. Might be a good cross. I don't know how many males and females there are. Sage is at a friends house. They have better puppy raising facilities. I'm sure we could figure out some way to get a pup to Utah. I haven't booked any yet so there are females avaible.

Just got word that a pup from the first cross ran his own lion yesterday. Not bad for a pup that is still quite a bit short of a year old. Thanks to his owner for getting him in the woods, I really appreciate it. There are four males and one or two females available at this time. Thanks to all who have shown interest in this cross.
