Yeah, Nick Redmond's Cash dog is a real deal bear dog. I'd get one from him.

I can't run bears here but I've sold quite a few pups to bear hunters. Only heard of one that got whipped young that didn't like bears after that. Other than that one all reports are good. Mr. Gagne's Hank dog was born here. Between the guys mentioned above one of them should be able to steer you in the right direction.

I run the same t-top breeding line as Kevin and have found that they are willing to run whatever you will let them, and are some of the greatest of hounds to walk behind. Good companions, great mouths, and tough tough tough!

Kevin, nice to hear from you again . Hope everything is good with you .

Hank turned into a pretty decent bear dog and his pups out of Ruby are doing good from what I hear .

A few pics from our Maine hunt last fall

Ruby (Donnie Stockton's breeding) in the foreground and Hank in the middle .
They bayed this bear for over 4 hours before we could get the client into position (elderly man)

This is one of the pups at 10 months old , he was in on 10 kills

This is Hank on the left , with another big bruin on the same trip

Looks like you guys had a good time in Maine. Hope you are well too. The 3 Hank x Ruby pups that came out here are doing good from the reports I've heard. I know Scott had his on 17 lions and she did great. Haven't talked to Pete in a while but heard his was doing good on lions. Don't know if he's started bear hunting yet or not. They are probably the most athletic dogs I've ever seen.

Kevin , I was talking to Pete and said he was real happy with Kat . He also sent me a few pics of her with some lions , they were having a good season. Anxious to see how she does on the bears!

I also got a call from Tim M. in Wisc. this winter,he was wanting to get another pup . Said his was leading the coyote chases ahead of the older dogs . He can't wait for the bear training season .

Another male I sold went to N.C. but he got killed by a bear last year at 11 months old .Doug wish he still had him , he was doing a heck of a good job for a pup .

I don't want to hi-jack this thread , so I call you one of these days !!

Take care !
